Smienk Roofing
Buoy plating
Your roof fascia boards are more than just a finish. They protect the roof edge, decking, and gable against moisture, wind, and rot. Aged or damaged wooden fascia boards that require constant repainting can be replaced with durable plastisol fascia cladding. Maintenance-free, custom-made, and available in virtually any RAL color.
Smienk Dakwerken installs fascia boards on homes, dormers, garages, carports, and commercial buildings throughout the Netherlands.
What is fascia boarding?
Fascia cladding is sheet steel cladding with a plastisol coating that is mounted over the existing wooden fascia boards. Plastisol is a PVC coating applied to galvanized steel. The material is impact-resistant, colorfast, and resistant to frost, rain, and UV radiation.
The result is a sleek, closed roof edge that requires no further painting and lasts for decades without rotting, cracking, or discolouring.
Fascia board prices and costs

Frequently asked questions about fascia boards
No, usually not. The plastisol cladding is mounted over the existing wooden fascia boards, provided the wood is still sufficiently sturdy. We always check this before starting the work.
We supply fascia boards in the complete RAL color chart. The most requested colors are anthracite (RAL 7016), white (RAL 9010), and cream (RAL 9001), but any other color is possible.
With correct installation, plastisol fascia boards last 30 to 40 years. Smienk Dakwerken provides a 10-year warranty on the installed work.
Yes. Dormers are actually one of the most common applications. The side walls and top of a dormer are finished completely watertight with custom-cut cladding.
Absolutely. We regularly combine the installation of fascia boards with the replacement or renewal of gutters. This saves on scaffolding costs and provides a uniform end result.
