The 187 m² flat roof on a commercial building in Zeewolde had reached the end of its lifespan. The client wanted a sustainable solution in one go, including better insulation and a green finish.

What we have done

We completely demolished the existing roofing and 160 mm roof insulation applied. This was followed by a new underlayer and a root-resistant top layer. The edge zones and detailing are finished with bitumen 470K24 and gravel, and the roof surface is covered with sedum mats.

The result

A watertight and well-insulated roof with a sedum roof that retains rainwater and dampens the temperature in the building.
