In Amersfoort, we carried out a complete roof renovation in which both the roof structure and the roofing were fully renewed. During the work, it became apparent that part of the existing roof structure was in need of replacement. Therefore, the old roof beams were removed and replaced with new, strong beams that provide a stable and durable foundation for the renewed roof.
The photos clearly show how the existing structure was opened up and rebuilt. After installing the new beams, the roof was fitted with new underlayment, creating a solid base for further finishing. As a result, the roof structure once again meets current requirements and is prepared for years of trouble-free use.
Roof insulation and high-quality bitumen roofing
After the renewal of the structure, the roof was professionally insulated. The insulation was carefully installed between the new roof beams, significantly reducing heat loss and noticeably improving living comfort. A well-insulated roof not only contributes to a more pleasant indoor climate but also helps to lower energy costs.
Subsequently, the roof was finished with high-quality bitumen roofing. The photos of the final result show that the bitumen sheets have been installed tightly and that the connections around the roof penetrations and ventilation provisions have been carefully sealed to be watertight. As a result, the roof is optimally protected against rain, wind, and other weather influences.
A solid foundation for the coming years
During this renovation, attention was paid not only to the visible finish but also, and specifically, to the structural quality of the roof. Through the combination of new roof beams, a solid underlayment, modern insulation, and durable bitumen roofing, a complete roof structure has been realized that can withstand intensive use and varying weather conditions.
