In Voorthuizen, Smienk Dakwerken, commissioned by Timmerbedrijf Boy Simons, has completely fitted a flat roof of approximately 100 m² with new, durable roofing. The existing roof finish had seen better days and was visibly aged in several places. To ensure the roof functions reliably for many years to come, a complete renewal of the roofing was chosen. The photos clearly show that this involves a large roof surface with various roof penetrations, a parapet, and technical installations that were carefully incorporated during the work.
Careful preparation and a sleek finish
Before the new roofing was installed, the existing roof was inspected and prepared for the new finish. Subsequently, the new bituminous roofing was carefully installed, with great attention paid to a neat connection of all seams and details. The roof was also finished precisely around the ventilation ducts, the roof parapet, and the air conditioning installation, ensuring the entire structure is once again completely watertight.
Furthermore, the photos show that new roof trims have been installed, which not only ensures a neat appearance but also offers extra protection to the edges of the roof. Thanks to this finish, the roof structure remains better protected against rain, wind, and other weather influences.
Sustainable solution for years of use
For this project, sustainable materials were chosen that can withstand intensive use and varying weather conditions. The new roofing forms a solid protective layer that significantly extends the lifespan of the roof. Thanks to the precise installation, a smooth roof surface with a neat appearance is created, while all existing roof penetrations and connections have been retained and re-sealed to be watertight.
The collaboration with Boy Simons Carpentry proceeded efficiently, allowing the work to be carried out on schedule. Thanks to the good coordination between both parties, the roof could be renewed without unnecessary delay.
